The softness of the pillows
Singing of the cuckoo bird
Far away in a willow.
The morning awakens lazily
With the night's dreams, still in the eyes
When the night recedes to a mere point
I am awoken with a smile.
Bringing with it, the brimming hope
In a cup of tea,
The brightness of the rest of the day
Mixed as the sugar in it.
The day ripens, filled with the promises
And the world starts to ripple
I wonder how the evening would be
Hopefully as beautiful as the rainbow colours.
The sun shines with all its might
And the ocean tide rises,
People moving in a frenzy,
The sweat of hardwork glistens.
Alas, the wonderful day ends
And with it, arrives the night
Black yet full of colours
A fitting end to a day, so nice, so right.
Again the same bedspread,
And the dreams hopeful of entering my eyes
To take me to an amazing world
Where another day would raise its blinds.
The warmth of the sun, always so everlast,

bringing us flowers of endearment
allowing us to grow and to grow
and allowing me to make this comment.
Good one!
ummm the difference is obvious, isnt it? I am talking about the act which leads to the songs, not the songs :)
ReplyDeletehaha yeah the hopefulness is overpowering :) Bear in mind, all my poems were/are written at some point in time where all these emotions were/are being felt first hand or second hand. So perhaps at that time, I didnt feel like diluting the emotion.
